Old Cowtown is a living history museum dedicated to showing how people survived in the Old West, in the days of early Sedgwick County. The museum is well set up and lifelike, with wooden sidewalks, historic homes, Wichita's first jail, a pioneer church, one-room school, blacksmith shop, rail depot, 19th-century newspaper office, saddler and harness shop, grain elevator, saloon, general store, drug store and various other apt attractions. There are also cattle, horses and chickens to add to the atmosphere.
