Wichita and the Exploration Place
Even if there is only the smallest part of a scientist inside you, I can guarantee that you will have fun if you visit the Exploration Place science museum. There is a soft play area for toddlers, an aircraft section and lots of hands on things. We watch a movie in the theater and the seats moved according to what was going on in the film. It was weird, but a lot of fun.

My recommendation would be the Sedgwick County Zoo
If you have a family on tow and are visiting Wichita, then I would strongly recommend a trip to the Sedgwick County Zoo, at 5555 Zoo Boulevard. It is the top attraction in Kansas and has lots and lots of animals, like monkeys, tamarins, hippos, prarie dogs, giraffes and a new pengiun cove. You shouls allow an entire morning or afternoon to properly explore this place, and if you wanted, could probably make a day of it if you so wished.

Wichita and the River Fest
If you can, try and come to Wichita in the middle of May. This is when the River Fest takes place. You can see everything from bathtub racing to water skiing, all washed down with lots of food, music and fireworks. Fun, fun, fun.
